Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. About Pure for Cure & Our Mission

Understanding the origins, purpose, and impact of our hospital food distribution service.

Pure for Cure is a humanitarian food relief initiative founded and managed by Hare Krishna Movement Guwahati, North Guwahati. Operating with the vision of Srila Prabhupada that "no one within a ten-mile radius of a temple should go hungry", Pure for Cure provides freshly cooked, nourishing Sattvik food meals daily to exhausted hospital caregivers, cancer patients, and flood-affected families across Assam.
We operate permanent daily food distribution kiosks and dedicated mobile delivery vans at major tertiary healthcare institutions in Assam, including:
  • AIIMS Guwahati (Changsari, North Guwahati) – Permanent Hospital Food Distribution Kiosk.
  • B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) (Guwahati) – Cancer patient & attendant distribution.
  • Guwahati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) – Daily hospital outreach van distributing food to emergency ward caregivers.
  • Emergency Disaster Areas – Inundated villages across Morigaon, Kamrup, and Barpeta during seasonal Assam floods.
Sattvik food is pure, natural, vegetarian food prepared without onion, garlic, or chemical additives in a state of cleanliness and spiritual devotion. Before distribution, every vessel of food is offered with gratitude to Lord Krishna, sanctifying it into "Sattvik Meals" (spiritual mercy). Scientific studies confirm that fresh Sattvik food is light on digestion, rich in micronutrients, and calms mental stress, making it the ideal nourishment for anxious hospital attendants.

2. Section 80G Tax Exemption & Receipts

Information regarding Indian tax deductions, digital receipts, and PAN compliance.

Yes, Indian donors are eligible for 80G tax benefits. Hare Krishna Movement Guwahati is a recognized public charitable trust registered under Section 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (Registration No: AAATH3456RF20214). Donors can claim up to 50% deduction of their contributed amount from their taxable income when filing annual income tax returns.
As per the guidelines mandated by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Government of India, all registered trusts must submit donor PAN details to file Form 10BD annually. The Income Tax portal then automatically pre-fills your Form 10BE certificate into your annual tax return (AIS / 26AS). Without a valid PAN, the tax exemption cannot be claimed with the Income Tax Department.
Immediately! The moment your donation is successfully processed through our secure Razorpay Payment Gateway, an official digital Section 80G receipt is automatically generated on your screen with a unique serial number and sent to your registered email address. You can print or download the PDF instantly.
Yes, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) holding an Indian passport or NRE/NRO bank account can donate directly in Indian Rupees (INR) using their international cards, NetBanking, or Indian bank transfers, and avail Section 80G tax benefits against their Indian taxable income.

3. Kitchen Hygiene & Food Quality Standards

How our centralized automated kitchen maintains FSSAI hygiene at scale.

All meals are prepared in our state-of-the-art centralized mega-kitchen at Hare Krishna Movement Marg, Ghorajan, North Guwahati. The facility uses automated stainless steel steam-jacketed cauldrons that cook up to 1,200 liters of fresh khichdi and sabji per batch without direct human touch, ensuring consistent heat, hygiene, and maximum nutrient retention.
Our central kitchen and food distribution vehicles strictly adhere to the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) norms. Regular microbiological tests, water quality audits, and temperature logging are conducted to guarantee that every plate served is 100% wholesome and safe.
A standard meal plate includes a generous portion of steaming hot vegetable khichdi prepared with premium grains and yellow moong lentils, seasonal vegetable curry (such as pumpkin, carrot, beans, and bottle gourd), and fresh pickle or sweet halwa sattvik meals on special festival occasions.
